Sickness, Sickness, Go Away!

Well here we are – the start of a new financial year.

What a horrible beginning it has been too. On Saturday I became very ill with something the doctors can’t diagnose. They tell me it is not contagious, that its not the flu. I have no fever, but I have experienced, hot and cold flushes, headaches, sore throat, runny nose, coughing, and for the most part have managed to sleep the last 4 1/2 days away.

At times I feel so much better, only for it to be short lived and then for me to fall apart again. SZG has also been very sick. He has had to take time off work, which is something he hates to do. He also has had all the symptoms that I have had at various times. Both of us have been checked out by the doctor, both of us have been told it is not contagious and that really they don’t know what we have. Both of us are on medication though, neither of us seem to be getting any better.

This morning I awoke to two children, SICK. It seems so much more horrible now that the children have been affected. They are coughing, have running noses and complaining of aching joints, headaches and feel like they wish to vomit. Poor kids, I wish that they could have avoided this, but it seems that no one can…. All our friends have had similar experiences or are enduring similar experiences right now. I called the Doctor to make an appointment, the first one I can get is for 12pm on the 12th of July 2009… the 12th for all sake! We could be dead by then! Looks like I will be looking for a new doctor to call our own… The hunt is on…

So Homeschooling has been put on the back burner, while we all try and recover from this horrible sickness. I just hope that it is over soon as we need to keep active and involved in our extra curricular activities, but while we are not feeling the best we will put these aside as we would hate to share this with anyone we know intentionally.

As the medication is not winning,

Please get up and go on your way,

For our kids just wish to dance and play

Not lay about another day!
