Well the shops have truly started to get busier in the lead up to Christmas. I see that our local Coles supermarket now has their countdown how many days to Christmas Calender that tells us all in great big numbers how many days we have left before the big event.
Also our Local Kmart store has their Wishing tree up and loads of gifts already under it that people have put there for the less fortunate and Target also has their gift giving tree up and ready with gifts underneath to be passed onto those who are considered in need.
Every where we look Christmas is in front of us. Trees and decorations already hanging. Hobart is already advertising their annual Myer Christmas Pageant through the main street of Hobart, which is set to go ahead tomorrow, on Saturday the 22nd of November.
Personally I feel that it’s amazing just how non Christmassy it feels with all this Christmas stuff around. This coming week in the lead up to December 1st (the day we send / post out our Christmas cards) we will be writing all our best wishes and Christmas cheers for the festive season. We will also be looking at the Christmas tree in preparation to its decorating on the 2nd of December. Usually we would decorate the tree on the 1st of December, but as SZG has to work on that day we will be doing all the tree and festive decorating the next day on the 2nd of December when he will be home and able to enjoy the process with us all.
Christmas present shopping will soon all be bought, wrapped and sent if necessary to those who are to receive a gift from us. We have almost got everyone sorted, with ideas for gifts all organised.
Roll on 2009! when the Festive season will be all but over and a new year will dawn!
