Happy Birthday Tata – 21 again!

Well today is a very special day. Tata is having another birthday! The girls have been busy with Babcia creating birthday cards for him and making great polish food, that he loves. They have also been extremely busy working on school work today. JAHG has enjoyed the experience of doing some of this with Babcia.

The girls also put on a dancing performance for Tata for his Birthday. They had practiced during the day what kind of moves they would do and how it would all go. They did a great job and Tata even got up and joined in the dancing fun with them!

Happy New Year! – 2010 is already here!

Well here we are! 2010 has already arrived. Brought in by electrical storms, a short burst of torrential rain and fireworks last night!

Today is traditionally a quiet day at home, where we all just relax and enjoy each others company. We all enjoy some time together and reflect on the year that has been and the new one up ahead!

Welcome to 2010, may it bring you and yours, health, happiness and hope for a brighter future filled with friendship and continued learning!

A Last Glimpse of the full Moon – New Years Eve

Tonight we had a Full Moon which was pretty spectacular. I tried to capture it in all its glory as it lite up the sky as we moved from 2009 into 2010.

Sharing Christmas Day Happenings!

Well we had the most fabulous day today. It was just the four of us, unfortunately we only got to speak briefly with our son to wish him a wonderful Christmas, but we thought of him often and talked about him lots. We were looking forward to seeing him in January, but unfortunately this is not to be…

Anyway, here are some photos of our fantastic Christmas day, it was a low key affair with just us, our Christmas music, BBQ and Christmas foods!. We hope that you enjoy them as much as we did!

A little bit of Polish for Christmas!

We  just wanted to have a separate post to tell you a little bit about the ‘little bit of Polish’ we received for Christmas!

The children were very excited to open their Christmas parcel from Poland. It was the last parcel we opened as we wanted it to be the biggest surprise!

As usual we were thoroughly spoilt this year. The parcel contained, chocolates, biscuits, a gingerbread house (which we will make for either at New Year or when we go to Victoria in January!). The children also received some wonderful clothes, and toys. The absolute highlight was the Masks and Puppets they got. For hours afterwards the children played with them and even created and put on a play for us using the puppets and dressed in the masks!

Here are some photos of the Children opening the present and then having fun with our ‘Little Bit of Poland’ for Christmas! Thank you to the Smółko Family for their wonderful gifts and Christmas Wishes!
