Well to be able to move the bulk of our furniture we decided to hire a Budget 3 Tonne Van and make a few trips back and forth from one house to the other to get the job done. Thankfully we managed to do this without too much rain – it did start to drizzle a little – but everything stayed dry and we moved all the big stuff and almost all the little stuff in the one day while we had the van, which made the whole job so much easier.
SZG also had a friend who was willing to help out, which was great as it meant I did not have to try and push heavy refrigerators, washing machines, driers, beds etc up the 14 stairs that we have to get to the top floor!
We are definitely going to be happy to get to bed tonight... Ah our first night in our new house!
