Well today is all about the cleaning! We have had such a busy time over the last week or so that the house is starting to get untidy. The usual jobs have been done, like washing dishes, laundry, putting clothes away etc. But today is all about the cleaning. I have to vacuum, dust, mop and clean the toilets & bathrooms.

Thankfully today is also all about keeping warm, as the temperatures outside still cast a coldly reminder that winter is here with us. We have the heat pump running as well as the small heater downstairs. I am also going to be doing some baking in order to keep the house warm as toast!

So here’s to a nice warm and clean house …. better go and get started!

Well today is the second day in a row that SZG has had to take my car to work. His was all iced up when he went to go to work this morning at 6.30am. It is amazing just how cold it has become here of a night. Over the last few days every time we look out the bedroom or kitchen windows we can see snow on Mt Wellington. It is a beautiful sight, but when you have to go somewhere early in the morning and you can’t get the ice off the windows in a hurry then it can be a little annoying!

They say that this is one of the colder winters we have had in Tasmania for a few years, They also say that were we live we could get snow, and the area has done a few times, over the years. I guess we are in for a cold time, and if we are lucky, we could awake one day to snow not only on the mountain, but also in our own back yard!

Don’t get me wrong I feel the cold, but I LOVE this cold weather, just wish we had a nice fire place to sit in front of rather than just the heat pump that graces our lounge room wall! I love nothing more than curling up in front of a nice wood fire and watching a bit of telly or doing some writing / reading!

Now were is my hot cuppa?!?
