Views from our House

I must say that living near the Derwent River is just magical. We have some of the most beautiful views when upstairs looking out from our windows or the balcony.

I have taken some pictures to add here for you to see. the water views are just so calming and the children also love to look outside the windows and watch the river floating by. NIK will often ask to be lifted up onto the kitchen bench so that she can see the water and birds as she says… we hope you like the views as much as we do!

Pizza Delivery!

I just could not resist to share our Pizza making experience with you!

This normal experience of making pizza for dinner, has turned into a full family affair. For a while now children have included themselves into the Pizza making experience. They enjoy getting messy and helping Tata create the perfect master piece!

Mt Wellington

Since SZG is working so hard these days and is not home much of the time, we are making the most of the time we have together as a family. This Sunday we decided that we would go and visit Mt Wellington. The children had never been there and it had been many many moons since SZG and I had visited it.

From where we live we are fortunate enough to be able to see the tower on the mountain and could therefore see if the views would be clouded out or clear. In the morning, Mt Wellington had light cloud coverage, just enough to stop us from seeing the tower properly. so we did a few jobs around the house while we waited for the weather to clear a little. Around 10am the cloud coverage was gone and we could see the tower on top of Mt Wellington as clear as Day, so we hoped into the car and drove to the top of the mountain to get a glimpse of the beautiful views of Hobart.

We were actually amazed at the amount of time we spent up the Mountain (3 hours) and how much there was to see and do. The weather was very hot, not so windy and for the most part cloud free. The views where stunning and everyone had the most fabulous time! I shall add some of our favourite pictures here and the rest in a gallery so that if you want to see our whole day in pictures you can.
